To remove wrinkles in the upper third of the face (crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead, nose) you do not need to undergo surgery. In our centre of aesthetic medicine, we erase facial wrinkles with a single treatment.

Purified type A Botulinum toxin is used in aesthetics. Specifically, we use Bocouture for the advantages over other toxins (Botox and Azzalure). Bocouture works fast, is highly stable and no preservation in refrigerators is required. This reduces the risk of treatment failure by rupture of the cold chain and allows for greater ease of use, storage and confidence in clinical efficacy.

Botox or Botulinum toxin is a purified protein that is injected in tiny amounts into facial muscles to relax them and prevent the appearance of dynamic wrinkles or soften the existing (static). It should always be applied by a medical professional that is duly accredited by an authorized
medical centre to get natural, healthy and harmonious results.

It is used in small doses to produce temporary relaxation of the facial muscles between the eyebrows, crow’s feet and forehead.

After the interview with the doctor about medical history (the doctor will also examine the characteristics of the face and gestures, so that at any time the face would not lose its personality at any time), we take these steps in the centre:

1) Clean skin of creams, makeup, etc. and disinfect.

2) Apply a numbing cream to minimize disruption of the process.

3) Application of microinjections in specified areas.

4) Check the absence of red spots and applies ice if necessary.

5) Recommendations after the completion of treatment.

6) Schedule a consultation.

One session is enough for this procedure; however, we recommend coming for a revision after 10 days.

The effects of the Botox will be noticeable after approximately 2 days. Then the treated sections of the face will begin to relax and after a week the face will reach the maximum relaxation that smoothens the wrinkles.

As this is a product that is absorbable by the body, it will depend to a greater or lesser extent on the metabolism of each patient, but the average duration of Botox is about 6 months or so at most. Therefore we recommend its repetition once or twice a year.

Botulinum toxin should only be applied in the upper third of the face (eyes, eyebrows, forehead).

Botox on other facial areas is not recommended. There are other treatments for those areas that also reduce signs of aging, such as filling with hyaluronic acid.

The Botulinum toxin treatment is indicated for all those who want to erase or prevent crow’s feet wrinkles and wrinkles on the forehead or eyebrows.

Sometimes it is useful to complete the treatment with cosmetic medicine procedures as fillers (hyaluronic acid) or peelings.

After each administration the patient should not getting a massage on the face for the next three hours to prevent the product from being extended to other areas of the face.

As we said, it is not a definitive treatment, and additions should be performed twice a year. It is observed that with successive injections, the effective period is longer.

Small bruises may also occur (size of a lentil), which can be prevented by applying ice.

Some people (5% of treated patients) have immunity to drug employed, which couses the treatment to have little or no result.

Albumin allergy and certain neurological diseases prohibit the use of Botulinum toxin. In addition, there are some incompatible drugs; hence the importance of the clinical history. Moreover, it cannot be applied during pregnancy and lactation.

The aesthetic medical team in Clinical Renova has referees and doctors who specialize in aesthetic medicine and surgery, and have extensive experience in this type of treatment.

The medical team will assess the patient on the first day, carry out the treatment and subsequent personalized monitoring for each case.

We remind you that an application made by professionals and the best products achieve the best results.
